The Garden

The Healing Garden facilities are situated in the midst of eight acres of lush gardens. The rolling lawns invite walking, and many secluded nooks afford quiet reflection or intimate conversation. The imaginatively varied spaces include small hedged gardens, grassy paths, fountains, sitting areas overlooking sweeps of lawns, a gazebo, ponds, benches, and lots of flowers. When Virginia Thurston was diagnosed with metatastic breast cancer in 1993, she continued to work in her garden, and with the help of her husband, Bill Thurston, installed a Japanese Meditation Garden as a special healing area. All maintenance of the Garden is via organic treatments.

    Healing Garden Building: Estelle's Cottage
Named after Bill's mother, the original small cottage was tucked into the woods near the main house. We have completely renovated it to function as our headquarters. It now contains a reception area, a large meeting room, three treatment rooms, a kitchen, and a beautiful sunlit living room with heated stone floors and a fireplace  for group sessions.  The building also houses the administrative offices.
