Honorees

The Healing Garden is proud to honor two colleagues who offer outstanding care for our clients and who regularly contribute to the efforts of the Healing Garden.

Dr. Jon S. Du Bois is currently a practicing Oncologist in Commonwealth Hematology-Oncology at The Bethke Cancer Center at Emerson Hospital. At Emerson he is Chair of the Cancer Committee and Physician Leader of the Schwartz Rounds. He actively participates in clinical research trials and a variety of supportive services for his patients. He also serves as Chair of the Professional Advisory Board of The Wellness Community-Greater Boston. He is a member of several medical societies and serves on numerous boards. He resides in Needham, MA with his wife Dr. Heidi Katz Du Bois and his three children. Dr. Du Bois is a great friend and supporter of the Healing Garden.

Dr. Margaret (Peggy) Duggan has been the Medical Director of The Faulkner Breast Centre since 2002 and in that role has expanded the patient centered practice at The Faulkner Hospital to include comprehensive Breast Medical Oncology and expanded Plastic Surgical Services, as well as the patient education counseling and surgical care for which the Center is well known. She currently serves as Chair of The Cancer Committee at Faulkner Hospital as well as a Member of The Medical Executive Committee and Secretary Treasurer of the Medical Staff at The Faulkner. She has been a member of the Department of Surgical Oncology at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital since 2004 and has been a member of The Women’s Cancer Program at The Dana Farber Cancer Institute since 2005. Dr Duggan is intimately involved in the education of medical students at Tufts University and Surgical Residents at The Brigham and Women’s Hospital and has been awarded many teaching awards in this capacity. She is a proud member of The Healing Garden Advisory Board for many years.
